Four Quadrant Systems
With a four quadrant system, the research possibilities are without bounds. The programmable nature of each unit allows virtually every sector of electronics to be researched.
A four quadrant power system can operate as either an AC power supply or an AC load. This is particularly useful when researching and testing grid related products with bidirectional AC power flows. When operating as a load, any energy sunk is regenerated back to the grid.
Where simple AC power testing is required, the single phase EAC-ABI and three phase EAC-TABI are the perfect choices. Each system comes built in its own freestanding cabinet and is programmable for voltage and frequency. A TFT front panel is provided which displays a variety of test and measurement functions instantaneously.
For more complex research requirements, then the modular EAC-ACS-4Q is ideal. Each phase is individually programmable for voltage/current limits, as well as being able to operate as a DC source or a DC load. This extensive functionality allows for virtually any power source or load to be tested using one system. A selection of software is available including a Fourier tool and a grid simulation GUI.
The flexible nature of our four quadrant systems means that they can be found across a wide range of industries and applications. Typical uses include single and three phase motor tests, aerospace electronics trials, grid-tied inverter analysis, EMC characterisation and more.
