This series of high voltage modules are available with up to 48 channel outputs. The EDS are ideal for applications that do not require current control.
However a current trip point can be set via the front panel or the interface. Voltage regulation for each output channel is provided via the CAN interface.

An OPC system has been developed with an integrated OPC server. This capability simplifies the integration of these modules into the users program making the EDS along with EHS and EBS modules ideal for larger systems. C++, Delphi and DLL files are also available if required.
A stand alone windows software package allows for individual output channels to be configured into groups. Tolerance bounds around a set point can be programmed for the autonomous supervision of compliance to the set point value. Event handling such as delayed or fast current trip processing is also provided via the GUI. Floating Point Single Precision allows for particularly accurate setting and measuring of output values.
A controller card is available with ECH crates which allows users to control EDS modules via advanced iCS2.6 control software. The software allows multiple high voltage power supplies from ETPS to be controlled through one manufacturer specific Linux OS.
iCS2.6 software allows users to remotely program, monitor and error log output values of EDS modules. It also features integrated role and user management, allowing technicians and students to have different user privileges for example. An integrated Wi-Fi access point is optionally available with the controller card which provides control of the modules via any device with secure internet capability. This allows access through any PC, tablet or smart phone with a modern internet browser.
A large set of preconfigured services are integrated into the software such as EPICS, Web-Control, SNMP, SOAP, Websocket, OPC/UA1, isegHAL and HTTP-API. It is possible to edit Python scripts directly with access to all needed hardware parameters. The open platform nature of iCS2.6 also allows for the simple integration of external 3rd party devices into test setups.
Form Factor and Enclosures
A variety of crates are available for housing the EDS cassettes. These crates provide input power, additional comms ports and cooling options. Up to 480 channels can be operated from a single 19" × 6U rackmounting case. Smaller desktop crates are also available as detailed in the options table.
Overall the EDS offers the best value cost per output channel. Many large systems require a variety of HV outputs with different specifications. The EDS can be operated alongside the higher specification EHS and multi quadrant EBS families in the same enclosure and on the same software platform.
