Current Shunts
Where the need for stability is supreme, our range of high precision current shunts provide the best tools for the job.
Current shunts are used to measure electrical currents from a small voltage drop created across a high precision resistor placed in series with a load.
All ETPS models feature 5 ultra-stable shunts, with the appropriate resistor selected by the simple push of a button. This allows for multiple loads to be connected to a unit’s different input terminals at the same time, while remaining isolated from each other.
Each unit has an AC/DC current meter as standard which displays the respective shunt current. If higher accuracies are needed, then a single set of binding posts can conveniently provide the output voltage to an external voltmeter.
The compact models are built in desktop cases with retractable feet for ease of use. A 19" rackmouting kit is available for all systems should you require to mount the units into a cabinet or flight case. Computer interfaces can be specified for selected models including USB, RS-232, IEEE 488.2 and Ethernet.
