DC-DC Converters
Our DC-DC converter platforms transform one voltage level to another. A broad choice of power ranges are possible, with outputs up to 1500V.
High conversion efficiencies and floating outputs are common throughout the range. Many of our products have a wide input voltage range, some as much as ±40% of the nominal. Every ETPS unit is built to last, with selected converters having MTBF figures of 750,000 hours. Many models also feature galvanic isolation.
Our most rugged designs are capable of operating in ambient temperatures as low as -40°C and as high +85°C. A variety of case styles are available to help ensure suitability in rail and telecoms installations, as well as being embedded in industrial and military control systems.
The unidirectional high power CON-HP-E can be built with user specified inputs and outputs. Any nominal input voltage is possible between 250-750V, with a ±10% tolerance. So for example, a 600V nominal will operate from 540V-660V. Programmable outputs up to 1500V are available.
Modular CON-DSS units feature an adjustable input/output on the low side. The bidirectional converter's V and I slopes can be set and protection levels tweaked, to ensure it is optimised for a specific load. A high speed 1kHz CAN interface is available, which is popular in automotive and energy storage research.

The CON-DSS is modular bidirectional DC-DC Converter. The low side of the converter features a user adjustable input/output, making it ideal for many applications. As standard each module is built with isolated analogue and RS-232 interfaces.

The CON-HP-E is an incredibly versatile platform. Any nominal input voltage is possible between 250VDC-750VDC, with a ±10% tolerance. User specified programmable outputs from 0-15VDC up to 0-1500VDC are also available.

These wall mounting units operate from a 24VDC or 110VDC input, providing an isolated and floating output at 24VDC. A windows based monitoring program provides details of actual output values along with the preset thresholds.

This range of wall mounting DC-DC converters provide a stabilised floating output which is isolated from the input. Tolerance to shock and vibration according to EN50155 is makes these units ideal for use on railroad rolling stock.
