The HPS-Compact are a series of programmable high voltage laboratory power supplies in a convenient desktop case. A wide range of V and I outputs are possible up to 70kVDC/350W.
Along with front panel control and display the unit is built with CAN and USB interfaces as standard. Versions with blank front panels controlled via analogue signal are also available. Innovative resonance mode techniques enable the units to operate at very high efficiencies.

Every unit in the range is operated from a wide input 85 to 264VAC, 50/60Hz input with built in power factor correction.
Interfaces and Control
Packaged in a compact desktop case the HPS-Compact range are built with front panel control and a 4 digit LCD screen for both voltage and current. Analogue, RS-232, IEEE 488.2 and Ethernet Interfaces are optionally available if required.
An iCSmini2 intelligent external controller box is available with an embedded Linux-Server system. This allows users to control HPS-Compact units via advanced iCS2.6 control software. The software allows multiple high voltage power supplies from ETPS to be controlled through one manufacturer specific Linux OS.
iCS2.6 software allows users to remotely program, monitor and error log output values of the HPS-Compact. It also features integrated role and user management, allowing technicians and students to have different user privileges for example. An integrated Wi-Fi access point in the iCSmini2 provides control of the modules via any device with secure internet capability. This allows access through any PC, tablet or smart phone with a modern internet browser.
A large set of preconfigured services are integrated into the software such as EPICS, Web-Control, SNMP, SOAP, Websocket, OPC/UA1, isegHAL and HTTP-API. It is possible to edit Python scripts directly with access to all needed hardware parameters. The open platform nature of iCS2.6 also allows for the simple integration of external 3rd party devices into test setups.
Form Factor and Enclosures
The related HPS product family is designed to the same specifications as the HPS-Compact family, but with a rackmounting case.
Low ripple and noise ensure these units are suitable for the widest range of applications. Typical examples include magnetrons, electrostatics, x-ray, laser and E-beam processing.
The /CLD option provides a modified regulation suitable for capacitor and pulse loading. These HV supplies are also available in customer specific mechanical forms for medium volume OEM applications.
