Rental System with EMC Standards

Are you looking to perform inhouse EMC testing? Maybe you're tired of waiting for test space to become available at compliance laboratories? Perhaps you're looking to save significant costs in the final stage of your product development. We have a turnkey rental system available which could be the ideal solution...

The specialist system enables you to carry out selected EMC test standards without the expense of purchasing dedicated equipment. It uses a 4-quadrant EAC-ACS-4Q 50kVA grid emulator as the base, with ZES Zimmer power analyser and 3× 600A current transducers included.

Specific EMC tests from the standards listed below are available to execute from the system's operating software. The GUI features a separate test interface for each standard and provides waveform visualisation, tracing, and verification capabilities. Automatic generation of test reports is also provided.

EMC Standard Description
IEC/EN 61000-3-2 Limits for harmonic current emissions (equipment input current ≤16A per phase)
IEC/EN 61000-3-3 Limitation of voltage changes, voltage fluctuations and flicker in public low-voltage supply systems, for equipment with rated current ≤16A per phase and not subject to conditional connection
IEC/EN 61000-3-11 Limitation of voltage changes, voltage fluctuations and flicker in public low-voltage supply systems. Equipment with rated current ≤75A and subject to conditional connection
IEC/EN 61000-3-12 Limits for harmonic currents produced by equipment connected to public low-voltage systems with input current >16A and ≤75A per phase
IEC/EN 61000-4-11 Voltage dips, short interruptions, and voltage variations immunity tests up to 16A per phase
IEC/EN 61000-4-13 Harmonics and interharmonics including mains signalling at AC power port, low frequency immunity tests
IEC/EN 61000-4-14 Voltage fluctuation immunity test for equipment with input current not exceeding 16A per phase
IEC/EN 61000-4-27 Unbalance, immunity test for equipment with input current not exceeding 16A per phase
IEC/EN 61000-4-28 Variation of power frequency, immunity test for equipment with input current not exceeding 16A per phase
IEC/EN 61000-4-34 Voltage dips, short interruptions, and voltage variations immunity tests more than 16A per phase

Each test consists of multiple sequences, which can be executed as a whole or as individually selected blocks. EMC classes 1 to 4, predefined by a specific standard, are user selectable. There is also a class X available, where relevant variables are programmable. Example variables include dip deepness, harmonic content, and frequency shift.
