EV Charger Comms and Power Testing

For Research, Certification & EMC Compliance

Do you need to prove compliance of your electric vehicle charging system for worldwide markets? Maybe you need to fine tune existing equipment to ensure interoperability with new systems? If you’re looking to simulate an EV/EVSE within your charger test bench, or perform man-in-the-middle testing, we have a solution for you...

In partnership with comemso, ETPS can provide flexible and modular test solutions for both compliance to communication protocols and power performance testing. All common standards are available including CCS1, CCS2, NACS, CHAdeMO, GB/T and MCS.

Power testing is possible from a few kilowatts, all the way into the megawatt range. AC and DC test solutions are both available. We can also look to integrate the comemso test solutions with any existing ETPS power systems you already have.

Comemso solutions operate from a common software architecture which is easily scalable. For example, users could start with a comms only module to test the interfaces of an EV charger to domestic standards, and then upgrade with power equipment at a later date to test the electrical characteristics of the charger. Test libraries are retro-installable. If you were looking to prove compliance before entering a new market, the package can be downloaded for your existing system.

Power and Comms Testing Test Setup

Complex Standards Made Simple

Comframe test software was developed based on years of industry feedback from users. The platform simplifies testing across all comemso platforms, while maintaining full control over the test environment.

  • Execute Industry Standard Compliances Tests - At the push of a button, no programming required.
  • Edit Test Profiles - Use standard test profiles as a base to expand on and adapt for non-standard requirements.
  • Advanced Measurement & Synchronisation - Integrated oscilloscope functions for real-time signal analysis (CCS, PP, CP, PLC).
  • Automation & Efficiency - Automate test cycles, with simple PASS/FAIL results for production testing.
  • Customisable UI - Adjust panel layouts and settings to fit specific testing needs and/or preferences.
  • Filter Relevant Data - Avoid clutter by displaying only relevant EV and EVSE data to your testing.
  • Future Proof & Scalable - Order what you currently need, then expand with additional test libraries at a later date to meet growing test needs or budget constraints.
  • REST API Integration - Simplifying integration into 3rd party control and measurements software platforms.
