Do you regularly need to test a wide variety of DC devices? Are you looking to future proof your research capabilities? Then our LAB-AUTO DC power supplies could provide the perfect solution.
Models start at 5kW/80V and range up to 18kW/2047.5V. Up to 100 units can be connected in parallel to create high power systems to 1.8MW. Each unit has a wide autoranging output, allowing testing at maximum power even when operating down to a third of the power supply's nominal voltage.
Control of the LAB-AUTO is possible via a large touch screen and analogue knobs, or the LAN interface. An isolated analogue interface is optional, as are a selection of other computer interfaces. Up to 8000 output values (V, I & W) can be stored in the programmable memory function and sequenced against time. This enables test routines to be saved/executed from the push of a button.
- Sequence up to 8000 Values Against Time
- 180-460Vac Input with no Power Derating
- <1.5ms for 10-90% Load Steps
- Models up to 18kW/2047.5V
- Integrated Interlock Circuit
- CC/CV/CP Priority Feature
An extensive feature set includes constant voltage, current and power modes. Adjustable internal resistance is also provided, useful for emulating the output of energy storage devices such as battery packs and capacitors. Transient responses are <1.5ms for 10-90% load steps, ideal for powering high speed drives.
All LAB-AUTOs operate from a wide 180-460Vac input with active Power Factor Correction (PFC). There's no derating of the output at low input voltages, making units suitable for installations worldwide. Where users only have access to a DC link, systems can be built with a 400-600Vdc input. Full functionality of the power supply is still provided when operating from a DC input.
An integrated interlock circuit is provided to connect the unit to an external safety device. Users can choose for operating priority to be given to CV, CC or CP modes, helping to protect loads which are sensitive to any overshoots. It's also possible to program protection limits for over voltage, current or power.
On request, units can be installed into lab racks or flight cases with load bearing shelves fitted. There's also a selection of rental LAB-AUTO 500V and 1500V models, ideal for those with short term power requirements.
