Single Phase AC Sources
The programmable nature of our AC sources allows almost any real world scenario to be replicated. As most households are based on a single phase supply, it is of sole importance that domestic appliances are tested under these conditions.
Distinct line disturbances can be recreated in a repeatable laboratory environment, such as brown outs and ripple control signals. Common AC waveforms are pre-installed on selected units to replicate a specific source including sine, square, sawtooth and triangle. A DC mode is also featured for certain models.
Programmable voltage and frequency outputs allow any worldwide grid system to be precisely simulated. A selection of higher frequencies models are available up to 2kHz, perfect for recreating aerospace sources which typically operate at 400Hz and above.
Linear PSUs such as the EAC-S contain EN 61000-4-11 sequences for pre-compliance testing. The standard tests this includes for investigating behaviour during changes to the AC mains voltage are: short interruptions, voltage dips and voltage variation immunity tests.
For system integration or remote control, a wide choice of analogue and computer interfaces can be optionally fitted to your chosen power supply. Fixed output values can also be specified if the unit is required to act as a simple converter.

The EAC-PAVS is a series of programmable high power AC voltage sources with a true sinewave output. Each power supply is built in its own freestanding cabinet. The high resolution TFT front panel displays a host of measurement and setting functions.

The EAC-MT series of rack mounting AC sources are based on a motor driven transformer with galvanic isolation. The output voltage is programmable with a speed of 100V/sec. The regulation and adjustment accuracy is 1.5%.

The EAC-S is designed for exacting users who demand a high quality adjustable waveform. The distortion level at full power is a mere 0.1%. Sine, triangular and square waves at up to 500Hz (2kHz option) can be selected.

This series of desktop AC sources feature high visibility LEDs which clearly show the voltage and current being taken from the source. The units provide a cost effective method adjustable AC output for applications where the frequency does not need to be varied.
